You can fish anywhere there's water in Heartopia. Here are the main fishing spots:
Zephyr Sea (Fishing Village)
Located near the Fishing Village. Great for beginners. Fish available: Beltfish and other common species.
Shallow River
Between the Stone Cliff and the Forest area. Fish available: Common Barbel and river species.
Central Town Rivers
Fast-flowing rivers around Central Town. Good variety of fish for mid-level players.
Open Sea (Trawler)
Use your privately-chartered trawler to fish in the open seas. Best for rare ocean fish.
🌦️ Weather & Time Conditions
Different fish appear based on weather and time of day:
- Sunny: Most common fish are available
- Rainy: Some rare fish only appear in rain
- Rainbow: Best weather for catching the rarest fish
- Time of Day: Some fish only appear at specific times (morning, afternoon, night)

Check the weather icon in-game and match it with fish requirements. Rainbow weather and Rain often yield the rarest catches!
🎯 How to Fish in Heartopia
- Equip your fishing rod from your toolbox (white bag icon)
- Find a body of water and look for fish shadows
- Position yourself near the shadow
- Cast your line and wait for a bite
- Follow the on-screen prompts to reel in your catch
You unlock the fishing rod early in the tutorial. After that, you're free to explore the entire island for fishing spots.
📊 Fish by Hobby Level
Fish are organized by your Fishing Hobby Level. As you level up, you can catch rarer and more valuable fish:
- Level 1: Beltfish, Common Barbel, and other starter fish
- Level 2: Mid-tier fish with better sell prices
- Level 3: Rare fish requiring specific conditions
- Level 4+: Boss-tier and legendary fish
